I remember when we had our first kid, we always struggled with what to do when he went to bed. We spent the entire day looking after him so when he was asleep we felt like we needed to use the time wisely, a lot of the time we didn’t. However, as he got a little older, we started to use our time better, we would do the usual things, like clean and eat but after that, we picked up new hobbies.
I remember my wife picked up knitting and we watched some TV shows until we both discovered gaming (or rediscovered in my case). When I first suggested it to my wife she was skeptical and I think this is a general thing for people when they first get asked to play games, but after a small bit of convincing, she played some with me.
It started as easy-to-play games, like Minecraft, and quickly moved onto games I could never imagine my wife playing. Now, she might be more interested in gaming than I am-which I never imagined and with us just having our third baby, my wife is excited to get back into these gaming habits. When I told her I was writing this she gave me the games she has found the best and I will relay this information to you.
CSGO
If someone told me when I first met my wife that nearly 8 years later she would have been obsessed with CSGO and with CSGO gambling on sites like CSGambling.net, I would have called you a liar, but no, this is a real thing.
This was the game she picked first and the game she played the most without question. I first introduced her to CSGO because she was enjoying the Call Of Duty idea but not so much the game itself, like many fans recently, because of this I assumed CSGO would be the logical step.
She loves this game and I’m right there with her. It is competitive, the developers listen to the fans and it makes the time fly by. It is overall, a near-perfect experience for all types of gamers.
However, the main criticism here is the fact that you cannot really pause it if your baby is crying or if you need to go do something quickly, it is online and if you die or stand still for too long, you will lose it for your team.
Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2
This is my favorite game series of all time and when I could show my wife them I was a very happy man. This is a flawless series and the second one especially is mind-blowing to play and watch.
I knew my wife would love this because of the story and the horses! When she finished the second she cried and this is because the story is sad and she was pregnant but she cried either way.
The main criticism of CSGO was the fact that you couldn’t pause in the middle of a game and Red Dead Redemption has this and is overall better than CSGO.
Honorable Mentions
She has been gaming for multiple years and has almost replaced television with gaming. She has played a few more games that really stood out to her, like the Last Of Us, we also watched the show together and loved it.
She has also become obsessed with old games her brother played when they were younger, like Mario and Resident Evil which has given her a lot of nostalgia, which is why I love gaming so much. A good game can make you feel like a kid again and be a distraction you might need!
