In a recent interview with Men’s Health, NFL player Chris Long discusses the physical toll of football and how players have to be prepared for that.
The mccaffrey injury 2021 is a story about the pain of playing football. It’s a long read that will be worth your time.
There’s never a dull moment when it comes to deciding who the greatest running back in the NFL is, but Christian McCaffrey is without a question the most versatile. The veteran Panthers running back is a great runner and a great receiver, and he has the statistics to prove it.
In 2018, McCaffrey had 1,965 scrimmage yards, and in 2019, he had a league-high 2,392 scrimmage yards.
McCaffrey’s skill is undeniable, but his health (or lack thereof) is a another story. He’s having a hard time staying healthy.
Christian McCaffrey’s injury list is growing.

Due to injury, McCaffrey’s 2020 season was a huge disappointment compared to his stellar performance in 2019. Due to a severe ankle sprain and shoulder ailment, he missed a total of 13 games.
On many occasions, McCaffrey attempted to play despite his ailments. However, a worried Carolina front staff eventually decided to end his season. Before the season started, they had just given McCaffrey a hefty contract extension. The Panthers didn’t want to jeopardize their franchise running back’s long-term health.
McCaffery is also struggling with a hamstring issue, which may prevent him from playing against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5.
Running back is a difficult position to play in the NFL; that much is self-evident. Due to hard-hitting linebackers and big-bodied defensive linemen, the position takes a lot of physical abuse.
While it would be easy to blame McCaffrey’s current injury problems on the nature of his work, he thinks the NFL is also to blame.
RB #Panthers “I certainly feel fantastic,” Christian McCaffrey says. When asked how the injury happened, he took a breath and replied, “Thursday night games are not my favorite. In a football game, you go through a lot and only have two days to recuperate. However, it is what it is.”

McCaffrey’s hamstring injury comes from a game against the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football. The short-rest aspect of playing on Thursdays, according to McCaffrey, is to fault.
“It was very aggravating,” McCaffrey remarked.
“I’m not a big fan of Thursday night games.” In a football game, you go through a lot. And you only have two days to recuperate, one of which is a trip day. So you have two days to rest before boarding an aircraft, checking into a hotel, and then going out to participate in a football game. It’s very difficult. However, it is what it is. It’s all part of the fun. And, of course, aggravating.”
Is it possible that the NFL may drop Thursday games?

This isn’t the first time a player in the NFL has publicly chastised Thursday Night Football. Most teams and players, in fact, despise the notion of playing on so little rest.
With that in mind, there’s almost no way the NFL will contemplate scrapping the mid-week schedule. The NFL’s Thursday and Monday night games are gold mines. If anything, the league would want to add additional games throughout the week or at odd/different times.
It’s terrible that McCaffrey’s hamstring injury occurred as a result of playing on short rest, and it’s much more sad for those of you who selected him first overall in fantasy football. When it comes to the NFL, though, his annoyance is likely to go unnoticed.
