The pro wrestling world was caught in a weird spot this weekend, when the AEW pro wrestling promotion announced a match between a pro wrestler and a pro-anarchist, based on a Twitter comment from pro-wrestling legend CM Punk.

AEW has finally made its foray into the world of professional wrestling. This is very good news for fans of the AEW promotion, as it will be the first chance for many to see what AEW has to offer. This is also very bad news for CM Punk, as he will be entering the ring for his first match with the promotion.

This past weekend, CM Punk debuted on the All Out wrestling show in Long Beach, California. Punk, who is on the road with the AEW promotion, defeated Darby Allin in their first match together. Allin, who is known for becoming violent, was acclaimed by All In’s fans, but most notable Punk got the opportunity to showcase his skills against the former indie wrestler.

The AEW program for All Out was jam-packed from start to finish, but the in-ring return of CM Punk was undoubtedly one of, if not the most anticipated match of the evening. Punk made his long-awaited comeback to wrestling at AEW Rampage’s The First Dance, and has been in a number of promos and in-ring appearances over the last several weeks, but his first bout comes tonight at All Out versus Darby Allin. Now came the time for Punk’s first bout in seven years, and when they both entered the ring and the Punk chants were over, it was time to get down to business and have a match.

When the bell sounded, they circled each other, waiting for the other to attack, before locking up and Allin striking Punk with an arm drag. They locked up once again, and Punk retaliated with a powerful shoulder block. Punk received a cheer from the audience before they locked up again, with Allin putting Punk in a Hammerlock and Punk attempting unsuccessfully to break free.

Allin was rolled over by Punk, but he hung on to it as they went past. Punk then rose to his feet, but Allin wrapped him up. Punk managed to get out of it, and then delivered a strike on Allin, knocking him out and sending him to the mat. He then pounded Allin again and attempted to pin him, but Allin kicked out before the count of one.

Allin kept up with Punk and landed a huge shoulder tackle on him, knocking him down, and then Punk attempted to go for the GTS in the following exchange, but Allin ran out of the ring and became irritated with himself.

They locked up again, and Allin threw Punk to the mat before splashing him again in the corner and knocking him out. Allin continued to attack, but Punk slammed him into the post and sent him falling to the ground.

Punk dragged him back into the ring and put him in a back grip before planting a huge kick in his back.

Punk immediately went on the attack, placing a knee between Allin’s shoulder blades and pushing his arms back, then transitioning into a chin lock, but Allin was able to escape only to be sent crashing to the mat over Punk’s knee. Punk placed Allin in yet another grip, placing strain on her abs, neck, and back. Allin fired a couple punches to give Punk some breathing room, but Punk countered with a Tilt-a-whirl Backbreaker and tried for the pin, but Allin kicked out at two.

Punk slammed the brakes on Allin once again, reducing the speed and keeping him grounded. Allin jumped over the top and delivered a stunner after Punk whipped him into the ropes. Allin then landed palm strikes before going for a Coffin Splash and a roll-up for a pin, but Punk kicked out. Allin then tried for another pin for a 2 count and then a Code Red for a pin, but Punk kicked out again at 2.

After countering Punk’s technique, Allin executed an incredible move off the top rope, sending Punk tumbling towards the mat. Punk and Allin then traded counters until Punk delivered the GTS, which knocked Allin out of the ring and to the ground.

As the referee counted to ten on Allin, Punk stood up but was hobbling a bit and headed to the corner, but he rolled into the ring before the count was completed. Punk grabbed Allin and slammed him with multiple forearms and punches, followed by a kick to the face in the corner and a clothesline. Punk then called for the GTS, who came out and picked up Allin in the middle of the ring, but Allin dropped back down.

Punk snatched him up and lifted him over his shoulders, but Allin elbowed him in the neck and then the back of the head multiple times, knocking him to the ground and buying him some time. Punk was also set up for a classic Allin dive, which sent him crashing into the barrier. Allin then ascended to the top rope and landed a massive Senton on Punk, sending him crashing to the ground.

Punk sat straight as he landed and smiled as Allin climbed to the top rope and signaled the GTS. Allin attempted to counter, but Punk grabbed him and delivered the GTS, which Allin reversed into a pin attempt, nearly winning him the match. Then Punk hit a Leg Lariat that could be heard from throughout the stadium, and then charged Allin, who dodged. Punk was able to rethink his next move and hit the GTS, and that was the end of Allin’s story.
